Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a training program that teaches individuals how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health or substance use challenges. Similar to traditional CPR, it provides skills to offer initial help to someone in distress and connect them with professional care. Attendees will receive national certification upon completion of the class. Participants must be 18 years or old. Registration Required.
NJ Division of Mental Health and Addictions Services, NJ Disaster and Terrorism Branch Presents: Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) for Adults
MHFA is a one day 8 –hour course that teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis.
Attendees will receive MHFA certification (Pre and Post Test Required).
Who should take this course: Gloucester County residents, who are 18+ and interested in MHFA certification.
Registration:
Required and is first come first served. No walk -ins will be permitted.

8:30am – 9:00am: Registration, and Breakfast
9:00am: Course begins
Lunch
5pm: Course ends
