How do I register?
For children and teens, there will be a registration card that must be filled out and returned to the Youth Services Librarian. Adults do not have to pre-register. They will pick up a reading log and return the completed log to the circulation desk.
Does my child have to know how to read to participate?
No! Reading to them counts as reading. Storytime books count as well!
Am I limited to just reading books?
Not at all! You or your child can read magazines, gaming manuals, newspapers, etc. E-books and audiobooks count as well! We encourage reading of all kinds.
Can I participate at multiple libraries?
Yes you can! Each library must keep statistics for state purposes, so you will be asked to fill out an additional registration card at each branch.
Is there a limit to how many books I have to read?
Nope! Children and teenagers reading larger books have the option of logging just a few chapters to earn a prize.
If I miss a week, can I return the following week to get the prize?
Yes. However, most coupons expire, so be sure to get them before Summer Reading is over!
