Reciprocal Borrowing
The Gloucester County Library System (GCLS) is pleased to announce a new reciprocal borrowing agreement with the county libraries of Atlantic, Burlington, and Camden. This partnership expands access to library materials and services for residents throughout our participating communities.
Under this agreement, patrons from participating libraries can register for a GCLS library card to access a wide variety of print materials, audiobooks, and DVDs to name a few. In turn, GCLS cardholders can receive similar borrowing privileges at the Atlantic, Burlington, and Camden county libraries. Please note that these cards do have some restrictions such as not being able to use them to borrow eBooks or eAudiobooks. You will want to reach out to the individual libraries regarding their guidelines.
Current Atlantic, Burlington, and Camden County Cardholders
If you are a current library cardholder with the:
- Atlantic County Library System (All communities)
- Burlington County Library System (All communities except Moorestown, Mount Laurel, and Willingboro)
- Camden County Library System (The following communities: Audubon Park, Barrington, Bellmawr, Berlin Twp., Brooklawn, Camden, Chesilhurst, Gibbsboro, Gloucester Twp., Haddon Twp., Hi Nella, Lawnside, Laurel Springs, Lindenwold, Magnolia, Merchantville, Mt. Ephraim, Oaklyn, Pine Hill, Pine Valley, Somerdale, Tavistock, Voorhees, Winslow Twp., Woodlynne)
Then we welcome you to get a reciprocal borrowing card with us. You may visit one of our branches with your Atlantic, Burlington, or Camden County Library System card and a valid driver’s license or photo ID. We will issue you a Gloucester County Library System card which will allow you to borrow our physical materials. However, this card is not valid for borrowing our Library of Things, hotspots, eCollections, or any materials from other LOGIN Consortium libraries. Any holds placed must be picked up at a GCLS branch library.
For more information about our checkout lengths and other circulation policies, please visit out Policies and Procedures page. For a list of our branches and their locations, please visit our Locations page.
To avoid any fines or fees, we request that materials borrowed from us be returned back to one of our branch libraries so they can be checked in immediately. However, you may still return them to your home library but these materials will not be checked in until they are received by our libraries. You will owe any applicable fines and fees accrued while the items are in transit back to us.
