Library Card Signup Month 2018

September is Library Card Sign-up Month!

With back-to-school preparations well underway, the Gloucester County Library System joins public libraries nationwide to make sure that every student has the most important school supply of all – a free library card.

GCLS libraries still have books! There are picture books and story books to help babies and preschoolers establish early literacy skills; books for beginning readers and for older elementary school students; and books for high school and beyond.

Today’s libraries also offer eBooks, downloadable magazines, music, movies, and much more. The MakerStudio@GCLS in Mullica Hill, the CreativityStudio@GCLS in Glassboro, and the GCLS InnovationStudio at the RCGC campus offer everyone the chance to experience new technology like 3D printing, laser cutting, and music mixing, as well as more traditional crafts.

Research shows libraries play a critical role in the preparation of early learners, and set the foundation for a lifetime of learning. A library card is the key. Sign up today! For more information about GCLS libraries visit www.gcls.org or call 856-223-6050.
