Other Services

The Gloucester County Library System also offers services to customers "on the go" through the use of specially formatted web pages, RSS feeds, text messaging (SMS), and Library Elf. Library users can access this information anytime and anywhere using their mobile device.

Text Messaging (SMS)

The Mullica Hill Branch Reference Department can be contacted by texting: START to (856) 270-7883. Please be aware that text messages have a 160 character limit and are only suitable for short, simple questions. A Reference Librarian will respond via return message as time permits during normal business hours.

Please note that GCLS does not charge for SMS services, but standard text messaging rates may be applied by your service provider. Cost is contingent upon your phone plan and wireless service provider.

Library Elf

Library Elf can be configured to automatically send you text message alerts of available holds and overdue materials. See our Library Elf page for more information.
