Sign-ups for AARP Tax Preparation begin on January 20th.
Please note that the process for signing up for AARP tax help is changing this year. AARP will be using an online scheduler where people can sign up for their own appointments. Library staff will still be available to offer assistance as needed.
Go to the sign up website
Go to the United Way website and click on TAX TIME.
Search the list of locations
Select your preferred location and a list of available slots will be displayed. Patrons will need to provide their name, email address, and phone number.
Fill out intake form 13614-C
This form can be downloaded when the appointment is made, but will also be available at the library if patrons come early to fill it out.
Necessary Documents
Visit the AARP site for a list of the documents you need to bring to your appointment.
Emailed reminders
You will receive a reminder by email two days before your scheduled appointment.
