SNOW REMINDERS | FEMA 2007

DURING THE WINTER MONTHS, help our Public Works Department clear our streets of ice and snow safely and efficiently.

  • Move your parked vehicle from the street when snow is predicted before it starts snowing. Police officers will ticket vehicles parked on the street when the snow starts falling, even if the storm begins at night, and will continue to ticket vehicles while snow is on the ground. Cars also may be towed
  • Before it snows, also remove portable basketball hoops from the street. They interfere with plowing and may be damaged unintentionally.

  • When shoveling snow from driveways and sidewalks, do NOT throw snow into the plowed streets. Also do not place trash cans, trash bags and containers for recyclables in the street during or after a snowstorm. These interfere with plowing and may be damaged untentionally.

  • For more information contact our Public Works Department
