East Greenwich Township is firmly
dedicated to preserving our open space consisting of farmland, woodland
and historic properties.
FARMLAND PRESERVATION
East Greenwich Township has established a Farmland Preservation Incentive
Program to encourage landowners to enroll in the State Green Acres Farmland
Preservation Program. Under the Farmland Preservation Program the state
will purchase a landowners development rights, allowing the landowner
to retain ownership of the land. After settlement, East Greenwich will
pay the landowner a 15% incentive for enrolling in the Farmland Preservation
Program. This 15% incentive can either be paid lump sum or deferred and
paid out as an interest earning annuity.

Program, contact Ken Atkinson at the Gloucester County Office of Land
