WHY?
Protection for your dog: Any lost dog wearing
a license can be returned to its owner through the Police Department,
Township Clerk or the Gloucester County Animal Shelter.
Protection
for you: All dogs must be up to date on their rabies inoculations
in order to be licensed, which in turn will protect you and your family
from rabies exposure.
WHERE?
Licenses may be obtained at the clerk’s
office in the municipal building weekdays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Licenses
may also be obtained by mail or by placing the below listed items
in the "drop box" at the left side of the front door of the municipal

HOW MUCH?
$ 7.20 for spayed/ neutered dogs
$10.20 for non-spayed/ non-neutered dogs
$ 5.00 late fee assessed after March 1st
$41.00 fine per dog if summoned by police for failure to license

INFORMATION - DOG CENSUS
A
dog census required by the State of New Jersey is conducted biennially
in East Greenwich Township. At that time, census takers with identification
(a township Peddler's License) will be going door to door to obtain
up to date dog counts. The next census will be conducted in July and
August of 2007.
