When do items have to be returned?
In most cases, items go out for two weeks. Exceptions are videos (some go out for only two days) and audio-visual equipment (overnight).

What if I return an item late?

EACH day EACH item is late, we charge as follows:
Books, cassettes, 14-day videos, and CD's 10 cents per day per item
"Book Express" items 30 cents per day per item
All 2-day videos and DVDs $1.00 per day per item
Audio-Visual equipment $5.00 per day per item

More about returning items...
We have a handy book-drop where you can return items before or after hours. Both books and non-print items (such as videos) may be returned in the drop. Please remember that late materials returned in the book-drop are assessed normal fines.

Renewing items
If the item is not reserved you may have it for another two weeks. 2-day videos, DVDs, and AV equipment may NOT be renewed. Renew in person, or by phone. You may also renew or reserve items online at http://www.gcls.org/catalog. Have your library card ready. More renewal information...

Expired or lost cards
